One of the plates is slightly darker, more polished, and has some utensil marks and scratches (see photos). There are no discernible nicks, chips, cracks or fissures. They have been gently revived with food-safe oil to nourish and preserve the wood. Any wear is commensurate with age and past usage. Please do not place wood in dishwashers. Wash with mild detergent and dry with a cloth. less
