Wonderful vintage hand woven and hand stitch dyed indigo cloth from Burkina Faso, West Africa. The cloth would make an excellent throw/pillow etc...
The textile has been handwoven in 4.5 wide strips which are sewn together to form one large cloth. Traditionally worn as a wrapper, these cloths all unique in shade, size and wear. The textile is 40" wide x 60" long with a raw edge. It is in shades of perfectly faded indigo and light gray - the color is quite stunning. The textile has been woven from raw unprocessed cotton and is slightly heavier weight than usual. It is in good condition given its age and origins and is a very cool piece. The cotton has an exceptionally nice, quality feel.
I recommend had washing separately in cold water with mild soap. I have more vintage African indigo textiles so please see my store for other colors. Please ask any questions prior to purchase. Thank you
