First we find the 2 brass handles on the top of the box, then we spot the key. Turn it and pull gently to remove the hidden panel. Behind the hidden panel are 4 drawers. Each one is the whole width and depth of the box. This beautiful piece is over 100 years old. And so as shown in the photos that there are some slight spaces between some joints. This piece is sturdy. The small gaps don’t cause any issues. See less
