A trip of Chinese ancestor figures. Carved, painted and gilded, these pieces were used in the veneration and worship of ancestors in Chinese households for hundreds of years. From the mid to late Qing dynasty (18th, 19th c), these three represent a scholar and two high-ranking officials. Each bearing 'doors' to hold prayers.
