This auction plate was produced by Haviland Limoges in France and distributed by T.M. James & Sons. Co. That is what you see on the back stamped two companies name marks. , T. M. James was founded by Mr. T. M. James in 1863 and add Sons Co, in 1886 in Kansas City Missouri in the business selling China by importing Chinaware from French such as Spode, Wedgwood, and James died in 1909, two sons operated the company and sold later. 1n 1916 they established another company " T. M. JAMES & SONS CHINA COMPANY. Therefore during 1886 and 1916, they sold Haviland porcelain using" Pour T.M. James and Sons Co. In Kansas, City. Mo" in red under the black mark of" Haviland France " which was the trade mark used by Haviland during1894-1931( mark I) ,This plate was probably produced between 1886 and 1916. The plate was few survivor after two world wars and very rare in market ,one can hardly find another same pattern by Google search.
Haviland Limoges is manufacturer of Limoges porcelain in France, begun in the 1840s by the American Haviland family, later on they purchased manufactories in Limoges area from 1853 to 1865 and built and produced and designed their own Chinaware. the company business went on successfully and expanded quickly.. .David de Haviland is known over the world for his innovative vision and creative genius. In 1853 he won a gold medal at the Crystal Palace Exhibition in New York, and the French government subsequently awarded him a silver medal at the Paris Universal Exposition in 1855 in recognition of his talent.

This auction plate was kept in very good condition as antique of more than 120 years. few spots the gold fade but not apparently noticeable due to age and normal wear. No chip. no crack, no crazing no repair or break. the design with half irregular scalloped gilt edge, beside four tiny hole . it looks like a head of rooster which made it very unique.. The rarity and well maintained condition definitely gave its high value to further appreciate space for collection Please review photos carefully and ask us if you have any question before place your order.
