The jar has evidently been used for several decades and smells like tobacco when the lid is opened. Because it is handcrafted, the lid is intentionally tight to keep the tobacco fresh, yet also imperfect and the lid is challenging to fit in place. There are no discernible chips or cracks (see photos), and any wear, nicks, or minor scratches on the surface are commensurate with age and past usage. less
