An 18th-century pair of ceramic pug figurines with hand-painted details, perfect for dog lovers and antique collectors.
These aristocratic dogs, elegantly perched on blue pedestals, have regal faces with gracefully arched brows. Their collars are exquisitely detailed with gilt trim, and, with separately molded front legs and curled tails, they are wonderful examples of English craftsmanship.
They bear a gold anchor mark that may be of Chelsea Porcelain, which established its factory in 1745 in the town of Chelsea in England, renowned for its high quality porcelain decorative objects.
