Our hazed from a reputable Dallas antique dealer approx 8 years ago and never got around to restoration.
Recently saw one listed for $1800 (it did not appear to need restoration).
Told it was slightly over 100 years old.
We are not sure what type of wood. I THINK it might be walnut but am not sure, so I will say walnut colored.
The arms are really beautifully carved. The front legs are also embellished. The back legs are slightly curved and without adornment. Both the arms and legs are in surprisingly good condition for age (I would like to say excellent, but hesitant—look at pictures to decide.)
Chair structure feels sturdy. It is comfortable for me at 5’4” and my husband at 6’ and 172 lbs. No shake or noises notes in the chair.
Wear of upholstery and few surface scuffs consistent with age. Please ask for more pictures if need more detail. It was hard to find light that did not glare.
Fabric is very worn along front edge of seat. (Cat is for a prop. She did not do damage to chair and is not included. :)
Color leans pink, pictures made it hard to capture color.
