This Andy Warhol Foundation rare vintage 1993 offset lithograph print iconic Pop Art poster " Marilyn Monroe " 1967, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Pop Art poster print is published by Te Neues Publishing Company, New York and Achenbach Art Edition, Dusseldorf. printed in Germany in 1993 with the licensed authorized rights of The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc. It features an iconic portrait artwork image of actress Marilyn Monroe originally created by Warhol in 1967 titled " Marilyn Monroe ", copyright 1993 The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc.
This is a rare opportunity for true Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe fans and collectors both as this coveted image Pop Art poster print is long out of print and very scarce to find. The official " AW " Foundation seal of authenticity is printed on the poster in the lower right bottom corner.
Andy Warhol ( 1928 - 1987 ) is one of the singularly most well known Contemporary artists of all time. His imagery is recognized worldwide. His infamous life, artworks, and creative endeavors are like no other artist. He is credited as the very first artist to use common everyday objects and view them in a completely different way while paying homage to their role in our society. Glorifying the common as the beautiful. His technique utilizing a silkscreen method combined with hand finishing in a signature palette of vibrant color hues make the work stand on its own and loved by millions.
Warhol's " Marilyn Monroe " 1967, is from one of the artists most sought after acclaimed portfolio series. The Pop Art portrait is feminine, bold, and iconic. The image is based on Gene Korman's photograph of the starlet, a promotional photo for the Film Noir Niagara. The bold coloration of the artwork recalls the saturated hues of the technicolor world in which Marilyn Monroe's career skyrocketed. The result is an inspiring exploration of the symbol of Marilyn Monroe as a Pop icon and cultural figure.
The rare out of print Pop Art poster print measures 25 1/2" W X 25 1/2" H. It is printed on high quality smooth finish heavyweight premium paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a satin eggshell finish.
It is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
