We believe this would have originally been a finial for something, though what we are not sure. The finishing on the feathers wings and face is of the highest of 19th century quality and would have been for an important object or person. We're not sure of the origins, the style of Eagle makes us believe it to be European/German but could also be American or English potentially. The quality could almost be 18th century atleast for the pedestal it sits on.

Condition: Some bending and damages with losses to the tips of some of the wings. Piece was probably originally gilded which covered the pegs in the wings and some repairs to the casting. Base may not be original.
