This elegant box has a strong hinged lid and the inside is lined in red fabric over a wood backing. The inside of the lid has a gilt finish and the key lock has been removed. Hallmarks are: K&S, London which may represent Kendall & Sons silversmiths of London. No other marks to determine silver content. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height=4 inches, Length=6-3/4 inches, Depth front to back=3-5/8 inches. Weight=22.02 Troy ounces. This marvelous silver jewelry box has been well cared for, gently displayed and is in excellent antique condition, free from cracks, repairs or other imperfections. The bottom of the box has light scratching, commensurate with age and use. The key lock has been removed, but it does not diminish the beauty or usability of this beautiful box. This beautiful jewelry box is the perfect addition to your dressing table or to add the Art Nouveau style to your decor! See less
