This antique desk has so many gorgeous features starting with the four hand-hewn scalloped legs that are simply fabulous in addition to their stunning and unique shape. Each is topped with hand-carved detailed ornamentation. The work surface is tilted in a drafting table manner and offers a great worktop for today’s laptops or tablets. It has a rail along the bottom of the work top to hold those devices. The top retains its original brass hardware, but the brass screws are newer and go the Phillip style instead of a slotted screw. We have ordered slotted screws so they are period-correct and will post a new photo when complete. The inside compartment has been renovated before we acquired the desk. It’s stained pine boards and very sturdy to hold your papers snd electronics. Beautiful, unique desk.
