Important pendulum rectangular with floor, in black marble of Mazy, stamped by watchmaking Viel & Delrue branch of Frossard Quai Pelletier 30.
This time guard opened at the end of the 19th century present an important bronze, with brown patina, representing a gladiator sitting on the ground, dressed in a breastplate, carrying his shield in the back. This fighter holds in his hand an olive branch which, in Western culture, is the symbol of peace and victory.
The enameled clock dial is graduated with blue Roman numerals for the hours. The needles represent arrows.
The mechanism bears number 523.
