This antique table from Spain, created from rich walnut … Read more A Spanish carved-walnut occasional table with drawers from the 18th century. This antique table from Spain, created from rich walnut wood, has a rectangular-shaped top, which overhangs the apron below which houses a pair of half drawers at one long side. The drawers are carved with a raised diamond and medallion shaped motif panels on their fronts, and fitted with a single knob pull each. The table is raised on a pair of canted/saw horse style legs, and are braced with a box stretcher just above their feet. The stretcher bar has carved embellishments which drop down at their centers, along all four sides. This piece has a fabulous old patina; a beautiful reflection of is long history and use. Note that there is some warping at the top (please refer to additional images for more detail).
