A large pair of Darrell Rhudy hand turned cedar vases measuring 14" high. Rhudy, b 1920, is known for his use of NC native trees, preferably dying and decaying trees for their character. Rhudy fills every dent and ding with black dust and superglue, which makes for distinctive designs. In one of these vases I noticed some gold pins forming an small but interesting pattern. See closeup phot of rim. Signed by the artist, they are date April 2012.
