Rendered in classic cobalt blue on a creamy white ground, the finely detailed transfer scene captures a tranquil riverside landscape featuring a traditional Dutch windmill, thatched cottages, and a lone figure rowing across calm waters. The ceramic composition is enclosed within a decorative embossed floral border and inscribed “naar du Chattel”, indicating that the scene is after a work by Dutch painter Fredericus Jacobus van Rossum du Chattel (1856–1917), known for his romantic river and countryside views. The underside bears the "Boch Delfts" mark, identifying the respected Belgian ceramic firm that helped popularize Delft-style ware beyond the Netherlands.
