A rare example of a very large, fossilized shell cluster called “Mercenaria Permagna”. They are from the Pleistocene Age, 1 million years old. Large clams have fossilized and turned into calcite. They are from a quarry in Fort Drum, Florida which is now closed. Measures 18” high and 16” wide and 5 ½” thick. Weighs 29 pounds. Difficult to find in a cluster. Stand not included.
