Each nightstand … Read more All-over abstract composition hand-painted in acrylic and spray-paint by artist Lionel Lamy on a pair of 1960's nightstands. Each nightstand has two pull-out drawers and one sliding door. One of a kind pieces that are both art objects and functional furniture. Signed and dated on the inside.

Dimensions: 26.5" wide x 18" deep x 24" high. Newly refinished, in very good condition.

Artist bio:

Born in France in 1978 I emigrated to Dallas with my parents in 1985. I started painting at 15 years of age and never stopped. I've worked and exposed in Dallas, Los Angeles and New York City changing styles repeatedly over the years and experimenting with abstraction, minimalism, and figurative elements.

Artist Statement:

I'm inspired by the egalitarianism of graffiti art and how it empowers people to regain a voice in their environment, as well as by the liberating DIY philosophy of folk art. Ultimately creating a folk art which can digest, distort, and reclaim the chaos of our particular, apocalyptic, 21st century experience.
