Clock with Horse, Werkstatte Hagenauer Vienna, ca. 1930, brass nickel plated, quarz clock, marked Both Hagenauer brothers, Karl and Franz, took part at this design. Franz designed the form and Karl designed the horse. The Horse was a popular theme for the Werkstatte Hagenauer. The freedom and dynamic in the movement of this animal is what many buyers liked. This depiction is especially reduced with its elegant pose and its simplified attributes. The quality of craftsmanship is, typical for Hagenauer, very high.
