A vintage earthenware faience oval bowl, HenRiot Quimper, France, circa 1960’s. The center shows a femme de la campagne, a French Breton country woman standing between two shrubs wearing the traditional dress and holding a flower. The wide yellow border has three concentric cobalt blue lines and a 1″ wide flat rim.
Marked HenRiot Quimper France 459 (bis)
Overall crazing and areas of glaze loss on the verso. The usual wear seen in vintage faïence.
