A one-of-a-kind hand-made ceramic trinket dish by Native American artist Clyde L. Otipoby. At first glance, this piece reminded us of an oyster. It is round with irregular edges. It is glazed in a mixture of blues, creams, and browns. It sits upon three legs which have felt pads on them to protect surfaces. This is an exquisite example of Contemporary Native American folk art. And would be fabulous on a coffee table, nightstand, or dressing table. Or, it would be great displayed alone on a bookshelf. Otipoby is a member of the Commanche Tribe. He was born in 1940, and pieces of his artwork are in the Smithsonian Museum. He lives in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
