Created in China during the late Qing Dynasty period in the early years of the 20th century, this elm wood desk showcases a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a light brown lacquer. The table features a rectangular top with central board, sitting above two drawers fitted with ornate brass hardware adorned with pierced scrolling cloud motifs. The table is raised on four straight legs with carved spandrels in the front. The sides are each accented with a carved apron while the back is sans décor. The table will therefore benefit from being placed with its back closer to a wall.
