Artist: David Lance Goines
About the Artist: Poster for Alice Waters at Chez Panisse produced by David Lance Goines. Goines was the graphic artist and printmaker whose evocative posters helped define the aesthetic of Berkeley’s counterculture, beginning with his sensuous images for this classic California eatery. About Chez Panisse: According to Wikipedia, " Chez Panisse (opened) in 1971 (...) its menu (runs) on the principle that it was of primary importance to use food that was fresh and in season, grown locally, organically and sustainably. Because the ingredients were procured locally in California, the food to some degree took on a very Californian character, hence helping create California cuisine."
Poster is in very good condition with one scratch in image (please see photos). Rare.
