Circa … Read more This Really is an Exceptionally Nice Looking Authentic Antique American Shipwrights - Professional Ship Builders Caulking Hammer - Mallet. Circa Very Early 1900s. It is Completely and Beautifully Hand Made Possibly by The Original Owner ?. The Hand Lathe Turned Wood is Indigenous North American Chestnut. The End Caps are Substantially Made Out of Solid Brass with Brass Screw Fasteners and Mounted with Some Early Type of Hard Rubber. It has No Maker or Other Markings that I Can Find. It is in Very Good All Original Condition with Wonderful Authentic Age and Use Patina - Displays Nicely. It is Also in Strong and Perfectly Usable Condition. I Purchased This Piece in The Down East Coastal Maine Region. It would make a unique decorator item.
It Measures Overall Approx. 13 1/2 inches Tall x 9 1/2 inches Long x 2 1/4 inches Wide.
