C1998-.2000's; Is this glamorous, and sophisticated chaise, by the well revered, Donghia Furniture Company, called the "Bond Street," Collection Chaise, … Read more C1998-.2000's; Is this glamorous, and sophisticated chaise, by the well revered, Donghia Furniture Company, called the "Bond Street," Collection Chaise, with an elongated, left side arm to the chaise. This lovely sinuous-shaped, is reminiscent of, and harkening back to the Hollywood Regency era of Glamour. The chaise's feet are in the original finish, of brown mahogany on maple/birch, with the body of the chaise, upholstered in a worsted, wool herringbone pattern, and much like a Rogers and Goffigan textile, and of heather, haberdashery quality. THIS item is, in "As is Found Condition," which dictates, and needs to be re-upholstered, as you will see in some of the images, take notice, in one image, which indicates the few tears, as was due to a move, with the corner tears. Chaise has a loose seat back cushion, with hidden zipper, and self welt detail, while the main seat cushion, has suspenders, of main seat cushion, to keep the loose cushion in tact, with maker's mark attached, inset and underneath seat cushion. As tag also indicates, there is 50/50 Goose and Down Feather, beyond the requisite foam and batting to body of piece. From a Palm Beach, Florida Estate, as this pieces was affected during a move by the mover's, but necessity to be re-upholstered, and currently we are in the hunt to ascertain the textile manufacture, BUT the textile is of high quality and hand. The construction and guts of the piece is most important, as it is the crux to Donghia's pieces of longevity and revival during any type of refinishing and/or reupholstering to re-enliven any piece.
IF you have any and all questions, pls. do not hesitate to ask. The best coloration of the textile is the full on shot of textile, otherwise in all images, light refraction quality will exist, depending upon the intensity of light, i.e. more brown, or more brown/gray.

This item is NO LONGER in Donghia Furniture Production, even though some of the pieces of this collection are current, which makes this a rarity.
