Imperial Glass Co. 2 Piece Pedestal Fruit Bowl, TWINS MARIGOLD, Ruffled Rim, Iridescent Centerpiece Compote c 1910
A gorgeous display bowl to use a centerpiece for fruit or simply decor... the stunning brilliant Marigold color is enhanced with iridescence as created by the glassmakers of yesteryear. This two-piece glass pedestal bowl can be used in combination or separately.... the base can be turned upside down to use as a smaller footed bowl. The design is nicely detailed with a sawtooth rim which is widely ruffled and round 'hobstars' and rays.
This is the Twins Marigold Pattern by Imperial Glass Company of OHIO, USA. Made in America circa 1910.
The 2 piece set consists of:
1) Top Section Ruffled Rim measures approximately 10" wide and 4.5" High.
2) Bottom Section measures 5.25" wide at base and 5.25" High.
Together the overall dimensions are roughly 9.75" High x 10" Wide.
Condition: Excellent with the exception of minor manufacturer flaws normal for this period, such as air bubbles, seam lines. Some slight oxidation of the iridised color in the base of the bowl.
