Beautiful table / mantle clock. Made in France in the 19th century .
Beautiful ormolu bronze that is cleaned. The clock stands on a beautiful decorated console which is attached to the clock.
Beautifully fully decorated with typical French Louis XV decorations .
The movement is recently cleaned and checked by a professional clockmaker. It is in working order. It comes complete with pendulum, winding key and bell.
The movement is stamped : Japy Freres et Cie Medaille d'honneur. This stamp was used by this famous 19th century clockmaker in 1855. It is an 8-day movement that strikes every half and whole hour.
The enamel dial shows Arabic numbers. It is signed by A.Thomas , Bronzier. 56 Rue Turenne, Paris.
It is a heavy clock, heavy quality bronze.
