Beautiful table / mantle clock. Made in France in the 19th century .
Beautiful ormolu bronze with the original patine colour. The clock stands on an ormolu bronze console (kind of) . It is attached to the clock.
Beautifully fully decorated with typical French Louis XV . Around the dial there are beautiful branches with leaves.
The movement is recently cleaned and checked by a professional clockmaker. It is in working order. It comes complete with pendulum, winding key and bell.
The movement is stamped : S. Marti et Cie médaille d'argent 1889. This was in the 19th century a very famous French movement making company. They have made many movements.
The enamel dial shows Arabic numbers. It is an 8-day movement that strikes every half and whole hour.
It is a heavy clock, heavy quality bronze.
The clock measures about:
CM: 43 cm high x 16 cm deep x 25 cm wide.
INCH: 17 inch high x 6 inch deep x 10 inch wide.
