There … Read more Vintage: c.1920s-30's Ornate, fine silver plate, footed meat serving platter by W & S Blackinton Company of Meriden, Conn. There are apposing ended coved or welled interiors for side entrees, as well as a center "tree of life," trickle coved center, meandering towards the front end of a bulbous cove-shaped, welled area for juices and/or gravy run-off. The feet are detailed closed petals of flowers either; roses or tulips, but sophisticated and sturdy raised accents, which also reveal the temerity and skill of the silversmith, in the design aspect, from proverbial the proverbial generic. It also includes a continuous, racetrack or oval-shaped design motif which surrounds the perimeter edge of top edge surround. Maker's markings are on the reverse, as noted in images. This is the perfect accompaniment for any dinner, special occasion, holidays and social festivities, like Thanksgiving, and beyond. Elements of Georgian, American and English Classical styles.
