Elegant antique dressing table rouge pot with an ornate art nouveau foliate design of sterling overlay on the glass pot. The sterling silver lid has engine turned parallel lines with a monogrammed shield.
Made by renowned Canadian silversmith Roden Brothers who first started making fine sterling pieces in 1891. Notable pieces by Roden Bros. include a gold rose bowl engraved with the royal route across Canada for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939, and a tea service for Princess/Queen Elizabeth's wedding in 1947.
They were acquired by Birks in the 1950’s.
