Alysanne McGaffey (b. 1931) is part of the Bay Area Figurative Movement, having graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in the late 1950s after studying with Jay DeFeo, Manuel Neri, Joan Brown, and other leading Bay Area artists of the time. McGaffey has had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout her career and was heavily involved in various art organizations, still holding offices in several.
