DoveTales
Found Studied Restored
We find vintage and antique pieces that are forgotten, with something worth preserving - beautiful craftsmanship, high quality construction, great design , or simply a story that deserves another chapter.
Each piece is researched with attention to age, construction, materials, maker and original finishes. We have been known to find a copy of the original sales brochure.
Restoration is always our first intention. Our restoration is detailed and intentionally conservative: we preserve original hardware patina, tool marks, and signs of age whenever possible.
