I like things with a story, a little character, and a few imperfections. Second Grain is where forgotten furniture gets a second chance to be something beautiful—restored, reimagined, and never made to look like everything else. I rarely use paint when restoring pieces, and try to restore the original wood the best I can. After stripping, I seal my pieces with sanding sealer and mix my own toner to bring life back into the original wood tones. Each piece is sealed with multiple coats of lacquer to ensure durability. Veneer pieces are carefully restored, grain by grain. I hope to use my skills restoring to begin making my own furniture line one day!
