My artistic foundation is rooted in traditional media, particularly painting and illustration, where I explore composition, emotion, and storytelling through brushwork, form, and light. Out of college, my creative journey expanded into digital art, motion graphics, and game design, giving me new ways to bring those traditional sensibilities into animated and interactive spaces. This led to my early career in video games and media since 2005. Credits include Disney, Star Wars, UFC, Big Buck Hunter Pro, and RoosterTeeth to name a few.
After many years in a very competitive commercial landscape and losing the drive to create art, the allure of going back to square one came to a head. I moved back home to be with loved ones, and to start a new life trajectory. This included doing art again. Traditional painting in oil and acrylics, in particular, allow me to paint expressively while calling upon all the visual memory and experience I've gained over the years.
Whether on canvas or screen, the work that I do is an expression of my desire to convey beauty in a particular way, but also (and arguably more importantly) as a challenge to myself to achieve it.
