For more than a decade, Nancy Leffler-Mikulich has fostered the development of her design style by infusing many creative endeavors: interior design, photography, art collection, fashion and music. From her boutique store, OASIS HOME, located in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Nancy and her associates build on the passion for design and curation of home décor, art and all things beautiful and unique. NLM Design Interiors is known for creating spaces that are striking, poetic environments combining clean lines and classic form.
The design sensibility is grounded in materials and values that endure. Her spaces are at once comfortable and freshly discerning: The culmination of lifelong interests in music, dance, art, design, fashion, architecture, performance, and history. Her passion for music performance and recording began as a classically trained violinist. Throughout the 1980s, she began creating musical environment installations and collaborated with other musicians and performers from other genres, and performed in Europe and NYC at reknown spaces such as CBGB, Max’s, and the Kitchen.
In the 1990s, Nancy relocated to the Redwood Coastline of the Santa Cruz Mountains in California and returned to school to study interior design: Recognizing how good design has the ability to positively impact people, tranform their experiences, and, in business environment, enhance brand awareness and profitability.
Nancy takes the same approach to her design projects as she had to music and performance, appreciating the collaborative process with her clients and professional artisans she brings to each project.
Maintaining a client roster including private homes, offices, and lobbies throughout the Metro area, Nancy has created a reputation for quality appreciated by her discerning client list and store patrons.
Recognized by ASID, Houzz, and HGTV and frequently featured in numerous publications, websites and media outlets, the award winning designer, speaker, and retailer, now heads up two companies:
