Nobletown Cottage, our 18th century country house, is a short drive and a world away from New York City. On a winding road over a mountain where the Taconics meet the Berkshires, the air is clean and fragrant and alive with birdsong. Nestled among towering pines, sugar maples and wildflowers, neighbors are always dropping by: flitting hummingbirds, sleek red foxes, a couple of bats who show up at cocktail hour, circle the house once or twice, and disappear into the twilight.
