After spending seven years on both the business and design sides at preppy-chic label Vineyard Vines, Tori found her decision to transition from fashion to interiors to be a natural evolution in her career. Having traveled the world to source materials for Vineyard Vines, she always came home full of inspired ideas for the accessories she designed. But the ideas didn’t stop at handbags and jewelry—Tori also found herself applying aesthetic updates to her own home, and increasingly becoming a resource for friends and family looking to refresh the look and feel of their homes. And so McBrien Interiors was born.

Tori enjoys working with each of her clients to take on their unique design challenges, and loves nothing more than to help them achieve their vision. “Doing research on various styles, creating a furniture plan for a tricky space, or even using new color combinations are just a few of the aspects of interior design that I love and find so interesting,” Tori says. She’s proud to have clients “with a range of needs. It keeps my creativity flowing!”

With her business savvy and product development experience, Tori is skilled at working within a specific timeframe and budget. She maximizes every dollar for her clients’ benefit, whether that means shopping in New York City’s highest-end furniture showrooms or seeking out hidden gems in antique stores and galleries. “I always find what works best for the space and the budget,” she says. “My job isn’t complete until I’m certain the clients adore absolutely every aspect of their new space.”

Recent projects include everything from design plans for a small spa-like oasis bathroom in Larchmont, N.Y. to full design and installation services for a three-bedroom luxury residence in Park City, Utah.

A graduate of Gettysburg College, Tori received both the Residential and Professional Certificates in Interior Design from Fairfield University in May 2014. She lives in Fairfield, Connecticut with her husband and son.
