Libby Cameron opened Libby Cameron LLC in 1995 after spending 14 years at Parish-Hadley, Inc. in New York City; she became a partner at Parish-Hadley in 1989. A protégé of famed decorator Sister Parish, Libby is known for her love of color and eclectic style. She mixes family heirlooms with new pieces, giving her rooms a warm and lively charm and creating luxurious yet comfortable rooms for high-end residential projects across the country and elsewhere. These include residences in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Washington D.C., Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Missouri, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, California, the Bahamas and London.

Libby’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, House and Garden, Elle Decor, Interior Design Magazine, Ladies’ Home Journal, Quest, Women’s Day Decorating Ideas, WWD, Avenue, Cottage Living, Coastal Living, Westchester Magazine and Miniature Collector Magazine, as well as in The Journal News, The New York Post, The New York Times (including The New York Times Home Design Spring Publication), Gannett Newspapers and The Washington Post.

Libby was chosen to design the main Stair Hall at Edith Wharton’s house, The Mount in Lenox, Massachusetts when the house was restored in 2002.
A participant in over 20 charitable events, Libby focuses on organizations benefiting children. Some of her events include Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club — “Small Wonders” miniature rooms; Tiffany & Co.’s “Tiffany Designers Show”; Isabel O’Neil Designer Vignette; Lenox Hill Christmas Bazaar Benefit; and House Beautiful & Furnish A Future’s “A Springtime Fantasy Exhibit”.

Libby has written articles for Westchester Magazine as well as House Beautiful. Books featuring Libby’s work include Rooms with a View, Decorating with Paper, Showcase of Interior Design, East Coast, Parish-Hadley, Sister Parish Design on Decorating and three of House Beautiful’s books: Decorating Style, Paint, and Color.

Libby was named as one of House Beautiful’s 100 Best Designers in the United States in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. She was a recipient of the House Beautiful Award for Design Excellence, “Ten Best Show house Rooms in America,” in 1992.
