    About

    Shop Banner

James Wallace Repton (1976 - ) brings decades of drawing and painting experience to a lifetime of curiosity for the natural world. He began drawing and painting at earliest memory and never stopped. His family encouraged his early interest in Kingdom Animalia with SCUBA certification, enabling access at age 12 to a wealth of underwater magic. Classically trained in visual art starting in primary school, he also holds a BA in Romance Languages and Literature and a Master’s in Design, both Ivy League. Repton currently works and resides in Seattle, Washington, although his journey has taken him to Italy, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Korea, Russia, the Netherlands, Portugal, up and down both Coasts and to the heart of the USA. His process is inspired by direct experience with his subjects, augmented by reference, and often completed in the studio. Contact: JamesReptonArt@Gmail.com.
