Emily Keating Snyder is a New York-based contemporary artist creating abstract paintings that incorporate the tradition of embroidery. Her minimalist, textural work seeks to bring craft into the context of fine art by literally stitching thread through artist’s canvas, presenting what was historically a women’s medium in the context of modern painting.
