Emily Hoerdemann (b. 1985) is a Los Angeles-based artist who explores language and color through collage, illustration, and photography. Originally from Peoria, IL, Emily began creating at age 3 when her Mom set up an easel in her basement studio and handed Emily a set of paints. She received her BFA in painting and photography from Bradley University (Peoria, IL), and a Masters in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art (New York, NY). Her work is a play-on-words meets color study with a hint of the personal that skews toward nostalgia.
