As two Californians living in the midwest, we were struck by the way people throw things away with no regard for their style and craftsmanship, and no appreciation for the qualities and aesthetics of another era. Minneapolis in particular routinely scraps its architectural treasures in favor of big box monstrosities of the current fashion.
So that’s what we do: we keep two eyes on the past, and two eyes in the future, and meanwhile we collect things, restore things, and move furniture around. It’s pretty groovy.
