    About

    Shop Banner

The love of building things started from a young age. I’ve always been fascinated with how things are built and how they work. I come from a long family history of builders and draftsmen so I’ve spent lots of time around building materials and workshops.
I first learned how to work with wood in high school, first making a wooden pencil case and making my mum a wood knife block. I even built a treehouse at the back of my parents garage with just a hacksaw, chisel, hammer and some nails.

I didn’t get to continue with woodworking until later in life. As an adult, I built other things- board games, a chessboard and even made computer games as a career at Blizzard Entertainment. I still liked woodworking but without the space, time and the equipment, I never had the opportunity until more recently.
Now with having a garage in my house I can use as a shop, I juggle my love of woodworking and building things with taking care of my two boys- teaching and helping them learn to construct things with their hands using all kinds of materials.

I make boxes and lamps for friends and family but my true passion is building furniture for the home. Working with wood to construct pieces that balance functionality with aesthetic. My style is still developing although I love much of the Mid-century modern style with some classic twists. In each piece, I strive to keep the integrity and highlight the natural beauty of the wood itself. I’m always looking to develop my craft with different techniques and woods.

Thank you for checking out my store and I hope you see some things you like!
