I create hard edge geometric and figurative paintings that juxtapose Minimalism and Maximalism; many of the shapes that I paint reference Minimalism, but my polychromatic palette makes my work look just as “at home” in a Maximalist setting.
I live in New York City by way of Charleston, South Carolina. I graduated from the College of Charleston with degrees in Studio Art and Art History, and I focused most of my studies there around painting and printmaking. I moved to New York in 2010, and I am inspired by the seemingly limitless marriages of form, texture, and color that I see daily.
Don't hesitate to reach out if I can answer any questions for you — my accent has faded, but my southern hospitality is still very much intact.
