Eat, Drink & Purchase-for tomorrow it might be gone!
I sell an eclectic blend of vintage, and occasionally antique, objects. I was a vendor on One Kings Lane, as well as Chairish, for several years while taking a hiatus from graduate school. However, when I returned to finish my doctorate in art history, the selling came to a halt. But now that I am done with graduate school, I have decided to not wait until tomorrow but start selling today!
Even as a child I loved going antique shopping with my mom, and by my teens was avidly purchasing both furniture and decor. Early on I appreciated objects that had a more Victorian sensibility, as well as as Japonaiserie. I still enjoy both--at this point I like almost every style! But while in school, I had begun to fall in love with the early 20th century, then the mid-20th century, and finally the latter half of the 20th century. Note, I consider 1980 the current cut off for something I label vintage. After that I consider it modern or contemporary. And something from the last three years I consider contemporary, Lastly, an antique needs to be 100 years plus, in my view. Whenever possible, I will provide the actual decade an item was made
I focus on wall art, but will be listing some decor as well. I am looking forward to finding treasures I purchased years ago but never had a chance to list, as well as haunting Santa Barbara's many amazing estate sales. I focus on reasonable pricing, but there is always going to be a little wiggle room.
