Welcome to AC Vintage Furniture. A Bay Area shop specializing in vintage and mid-century modern furniture, with a particular love for California modernism, the regional movement that brought indoor-outdoor living, honest materials, and relaxed elegance to homes.
Every piece is hand-selected. Collector first, I sell the way I'd want to buy: pieces I've researched, authenticated where possible, and prepared with genuine care. I pass on far more than I keep.
What I Sell
My focus is mid-century and California modern furniture from the 1950s through the 1970s — seating, case goods, tables, and the occasional designer-attributed find. Some pieces are investment-grade collectibles with comparable auction records; others are honest, everyday vintage priced to live in and enjoy. Each one earned its spot in the shop.
Authentication & Honesty
The vintage world is full of confident attribution that doesn't hold up. I try to do better. When I say a piece is "designed by" a named maker, the construction and documentation support it. When it's probable but not certain, I say "attributed to" and explain why. When I don't know, I tell you. The same goes for condition — I photograph wear, note repairs, and describe patina as what it is: the visible record of a piece's life.
Buying From Me
Local Bay Area buyers are welcome to pick up for free and inspect in person. For everyone else, I ship nationwide — smaller items by standard carrier, larger pieces by freight and I pack carefully, because a piece that survived 50 years shouldn't get damaged in its last 50 miles.
