Three antiques acquired while living in Paris 1990-1993. We were introduced to Haetnges Freres Antiquaires in the 11th arr. by a common friend, she lived in the Place des Vognes while we had a flat in the 6th! Life was good. We have no children and relatives don't care for antiques. Imagine that. We're moving to Independent Living with not enough room for these treasured pieces. We trust they will find a good home.
We inherited the fabulous 18th century George II tall case clock about 1997 from husband's mother, who was the Winterthur Museum and Library (Henry F. DuPont mansion) specialist guide for English tall case clocks and Chinese export Porcelain. She bought the clock in London c. 1986 for more than twice our listed price.
