The … Read more Chinese porcelain dragon fenghuang fengweizun, with a faint, celadon glazed exterior, interior and inset base and blue glazed artwork. The raised rim has a blue meander border. The neck has a band of large, leafy, Ru Yi lappets, a narrower band of splashing ocean waves, and a larger band of two, finely drawn, ornate fenguangs amid floral medallions on leafy intertwining vines, all bracketed by thin, blue, double trim circles. The main body of the vase has two, finely drawn, five clawed dragons amid floral medallions on leafy, intertwining vines; bracketed at the top by a band of fleur-de-lys, and at the bottom by a band of squarish Ru Yi lappets. The extended foot is banded by a curling vine motif ending in thin, blue, double trim circles. A blue, six character, Qianlong, reign mark in Zhuanshu script is glazed to the inset base. The traditional, Chinese, hongmu, square stand with finely carved Fu Bats and lucky coins on each side is included. Circa Republic of China period or later.
