This antique 13x20 rug is a rare masterpiece from the Voysey era—inspired by Persian rugs of Shiraz provenance. Hand-knoted in wool and originating from Ireland circa 1910-1920, it’s an extremely collectible new unveiling from the European rug collection by Rug & Kilim.
On the Design:
Keen eyes will admire the sheer variety of motifs and their unique orientation for a work of this period. The all over pattern is elaborate and meticulously detailed, with many subtle variations and a brilliant sense of movement therein. Its field and border background favors navy blue with midnight tones, while its patterns favor rust tones, brick red and beige-brown in their myriad of hues. It’s a regal and immersive recapturing of Shiraz rugs, and a rare oversized rug one seldom sees from Voysey’s works in such condition today.
Connoisseurs will further admire a nod to Qashqai rugs and similar Persian tribal rugs in this warm look—beautifully adapted this large size and heavy, wooly look.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final

Cancellations

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
