The garlic head has a finely highlighted lip with a band of shortened fleur-de-lys in a lighter celadon glaze below. The middle of the neck is encircled by a wide band of floral medallions on vines with acanthus leaves, flanked by two pixiu handles. At the stepped flange of the neck are a band of fleur-de-lys with a band of large, ornate Ru Yi lappets below. Four large floral medallions are quartered around the body amid a dense lattice of ornate flowering vines with acanthus leaves. The foot is ringed with a band of large Ru Yi lappets, with another band of Ru Yi lappets above it. All vase decoration is finely carved with light celadon highlights in a slight bas-relief. A blue, six character, Qianlong, reign mark in Zhuanshu script is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
